Race Information
Come and join the annual "Dirt Rondy" organized by the Inland Empire Sled Dog Association to experience the excitement of dog-powered sports! This thrilling display of canine athleticism will take place in the beautiful surroundings of Spokane Riverside Park. There will be a variety of events for both human and canine athletes including cannicross, scooter, bikejor, and cart/rig classes.
The event will take place over two days, beginning at 8:30 AM on November 2nd and 8:00 AM on November 3rd. The Driver's meeting is scheduled for 8:30 AM on Saturday, where the starting order and times for the day will be determined. It is mandatory for all competitors to attend the Driver's meeting.
The trails are 12 feet wide, mostly flat, and dirt. The race will start from the largest classes to the smallest classes on both days. Classes may be combined, if possible, and agreed upon by race competitors to save time. This means that multiple classes may be on the trail at the same time.
Entries must be submitted by November 1st. Race day entries will be accepted for an additional fee. Day of race entries will be added to the end of the start order.
A minimum of three Mid-distance entries must be received by November 2nd, otherwise the class will not be offered.
Please remember that all vehicles parked at the park, including guests and spectators, are required to have a Discover Pass. The fee for a pass is $10 per day or $30 for an annual pass. If you already possess an annual pass, you do not need to purchase another one. You can buy a Discover Pass at the race site. For more information, please visit http://www.discoverpass.wa.gov/
